Scary I thought as I drove on. Then my imagination started to rev up.What could have irked the attacker and to what degree to turn him this brutal?

Did the the auto bang into the vehicles rear? Was the auto in front of the vehicle and did the auto driver suddenly use his brakes because he was flagged down by a client?

Did the auto driver, first, come skidding out of the lane and then look to see if it was safe?did the auto driver come skidding out of the lane with out looking at all?

Did the auto driver in a flash, twist his way in to the four feet of space he may have discovered in front of the car, thereby causing the attacker to brake suddenly?

Did the auto driver try to use his hands instead of his dysfunctional light?May be he had small hands that could not be seen.or did he not give signal at all?

May be the auto driver tried to swerve around the car to make an ambitious turn and so toppled over and deposited his passenger onto the car in the process.

Or was it something trival like the auto driver blowing the horn unnecessarily from behind, that caused the blow up?Perhaps. It was the sound the horn that tiny off key drone that sound like ailing version of the our old premier padminis

Or did the auto bang into the cars side-view mirror?of course the auto could have veen only six inches away from the car at the signal and the auto driver could have been playing loud speakers that have torn rims giving way to unhealthy bass and treble.

I know it was that infuriating asthmatic sound of the auto engine that got under the skin of the driver and with that dazzling cacophony of multiple autos around the driver. he may have just snapped mentally.Or it could be the most common reason of all – the car driver must have honked and honked and honked and honked and honked and even blinked his headlights in order to overtake from the right and the auto driver would just not have given way. So may be the driver had to break the law and over take from the left.

Anyway, rumour has it that autorikshaws (inspired by our country) are soon going to be introduced in the lanes of Piccadilly in Britain.

We are doing to the UK what they did to us by introducing bureaucracy. And they are soon going to have to deal with Indian legacies more dangerous than chicken curry and Shilpa Shetty!

Process of Mind -Petal 3- Journey Home

"The Journey home is never too long
Your heart arrives before the train
The journey home is never too long
When open arms are waiting there" **

Dated: 14/05/2007

My brother landed in India and he wanted me to come to Kerala before he again leaves, this time for Singapore.. Oh gosh, I was not in a position to travel...had been to Hyderabad for Induction,(I like my new organization ,we have good people around) and just got back to Bangalore, that too in horrible Air Deccan, drove to my new office which is really far from my nest... Totally exhausted..

I didn't have reservation; more over it was a Friday. All busses to Mallu land were packed with Mallus. But I was confident that there will be last minute cancellations and those tickets are meant for last minute planners like me. I was right, got the ticket. I crawled in to the Bus.

No Hassles, It was a comfortable journey home. Amma was really happy to see me after three months gap. I went upstairs to see my brother and niece. My brother gave me a tight hug; it's been a long time since he hugged, damn long two years.

I met all my relatives, didn't have much time for friends. It was a short trip and it really gave me a good break. Now I feel unlaxed and massaged! A day passed…time to go back to where I belong.I didn't want to go back. Being with family is the best thing you can have. As usual, no tickets available. Somebody told me there is one special bus to Bangalore on Sunday's but it is not an A/C bus. Non AC in summer, huh? OK whatever; I had to be back in Bangalore on Monday, committed timeline given to Aparna and Pankaj!

I bought the ticket. The so called 'special' bus was not so special; In fact it was an ordinary bus with asymmetrically placed seats. My tiny seat was somewhere in the middle, some how I managed to keep my bag under the seat. Trust me; it was not a smooth sailing. I was getting baked by the fuming ambience in the bus. I realized it's a bad week for traveling. I should have booked my ticket well in advance. Hmm I've learnt a lesson. Never be a last minute planner .Anyways I had a great time back home...

** Bombay Dreams

Front Page Journalism

Before you read this post let me make things clear:

a) I am not a journalist or jerk who likes celebrity accounts

b) This post will not help you to learn journalism

Ok, now you can start reading further...

Indian News culture is getting antithetical; Page 3 of a newspaper, is dedicated for celebrity news, where it talks about the latest fling of Priety Zinta, party hosted by Smitha Thakeray, launch of new beauty saloon…bla bla….. Average Indian is really snoopy to know all these. Bollywood stories have become an inevitable part of middle–class Indian life. Is it blameworthy? Well…I like Page 3. I always look at page 3 with my prying eyes to know what’s happening in Bollywood. Sometimes I get some kind of ecstasy out of gossips.

“Yet Another Indian Take over after Tata” A headline by Times of India….I was really keen to dig in to that news to find out which business man got hold of which foreign company! Yes it’s an Indian Origin businessman…Great Arun Nayyar…what the heck?He got married to LizHurley?? a full page coverage about an NRI and his extravagant marriage to a blonde. I felt like banging my head! To tell you the truth I still don’t know who is this Arun Nayyar...have heard of Liz Hurley and her relationship with Hugh Grant (see! Page 3 effect).I thought TOI just got carried away with Liz Hurley’s stardom. But it was not going to stop there. Then came Prince William and his spilt with girl friend Kate…another front page news! Half of the page covered with their photo and boosted up news. Same day, same news paper I found a very important news on page 9…it was about an Anti-Indian riot in Uganda….one Indian died...I was shocked when I saw the news on page 9…a half quarter report.. Worthless life, he was living abroad to take care of his family…life played around. He had to leave this world. And when it chipped in to the newspaper Prince William and Kate literarily eclipsed the Ugandan Riot news…hmm…at least he got page 9 coverage…but as per the trend that space could have been covered by a cricketer modeled advertisement. It’s just not about someone’s death, but the importance of such sensitive news. It got pushed to a ‘need-something-to-fill-up-this-space’ page.

Abhi-Ash, new pair of space busters! Now its all about Abhishek Bachan and Aishwarya Rai’s Marriage…. Last three days have been a festival for Indian news papers. They celebrated India’s so called ‘First Couple’s’ marriage by sparing front page exclusively for them. Most printed news on this marriage were ; List of A grade guests, type of invitation, Abhishek Bachan’s out fit, King Khan’s absence, Tirupathi visit, honeymoon, and finally a fanatic act by a fan. Knucklehead Jhanvi Kapur, another aspiring space buster…I lost count on how many important newscasts went unnoticed and become footling.

I am sick and tired of all these. I don’t want to read dung! I want sensible genuine news! at least on the front page!

Lets make thi(ng)s better

I wonder why, a country like India promotes irrelevant degree course like B.A History. Panipat battle, Mughal dynasty and sepoy mutiny- That’s the subject all about! Does India really need “Historians”?

Global education standard gives a different picture; it focuses on more technical and systematic education rather than setting up irrelevant courses. Indian education system
needs a radical reform. Few points to make it better.

1. Life after death! Bull shit! There is nothing like that! Sounds like an anti-religious guy huh? Well… I am not an anti-religious guy. But an atheist! Who is an atheist? A person who doesn’t believe in any religion? Or a person who fights against undesirable impurities in a religion?. I don’t fight…I live and let others live…I don’t try to impose my thoughts on non-happening people. I believe in relativity theory…for me it’s not a debate between my Right and your Wrong, its a debate between my Right and your Right …oh no I am going to Alaska…totally deviated from the topic…

So where were we? Life after death! Right? Do you believe in reincarnation? If yes, we need to think about a phase of life, before birth and after death. It can be a cycle. I tried recollecting some images from my previous birth, couldn’t find any. It was pitch black! Referred many books and online communities to find out what is LAD. I didn’t get a proper answer for it. All were beating around the bush. They talk about Ghosts, Angels, hell, heaven, devils, Satan, 666 .Etc etc…

Ghost tales always fascinated me, it never scared me. Actually I liked them .When I was a kid, I used to look through the windows during mid nights to see ghosts. They are fond of white out fits. White Indian Saree! I wanted to talk to them, understand their problem, was worried about their sleep .I had kept a question for them –what do you do during day time? It’s still an unanswered question. There was a haunted house in my native place;I don’t know why people call it a haunted house.I had spent almost 5 hours in that house with my brother and his friends…it was fun…the house was supposed to be a center for supernatural occurrences or paranormal phenomena. Spirit activity typically feature heavily on cranky sound, raps, bumps, thumps, knocks, footsteps, and bed-shaking, all without a discernible point of origin or physical reason for occurrence. Objects being thrown about the room, furniture being moved and even people being levitated. But that night nothing happened. We drank and played cards to pass the time… my brother wanted to sing (he is a music driven guy, sings well).I was against that idea, It could give a wrong message out to the neighbors, would definitely concrete their belief in “Ghostology” .We came out of that so called haunted house before sun-rises .It was one of the best time I ever had with my brother and friends, a bit disappointed though. Thought I would meet at least one beautiful ghost in that house.

Life is a blend of body and soul. It is a symbiosis activity; both are mutually benefited.A Body with out soul is a dead log and a soul with out body is an inactive mood. I am not looking forward to a life after my death with an inactive mood. If my soul gets active after my death I would definitely do a campaign for the welfare of orphan souls like me.

Process of mind -Petal 2

Came Back from work, one more day passed. Ranjeet, my security guy was waiting for me at the gate. He is from some village in Orissa. I like Orriyans, My best friend in Ghana is an Oriayan…Ajay Jena…he can not Pronounce “V” sound... he always replaces letter “V” with letter “B”.Bhaat the phuck? (What the f***?) That’s how he expresses anger! But he is boisterously cheerful!

I am tired and feeling very lonely, feel like going to Kerala to see Amma and my puppy Norah. I love my Norah...hmm...I don’t think a trip to kerala is possible this time.I have work. No I am not going…I call up my dear ones when I feel lonely. First dialed number was Deepthi’s, told her am gonna blog. She was kinda okay with it since she was immersed in something else.

Is there any proper structure or a format for a blog? No Idea! But one thing is sure…its addictive. I can see a major change in my daily routine. Many of my friends think it’s utter time pass. I don’t mind being busy with blogging, it makes me think! I hate writing. Yeah..my hand-writing is bad.. I don’t want anybody to comment on my flaws. Blogging is cool, you have Microsoft word. All you need to do is type, spell check, copy and paste. I am loving it!

I think I should hit the bed now…having sleepless nights these days! Need a change now! Ok, am shutting down the process!

Process of Mind -Petal 1

“Tring tong trang” my mobile alarm rung… oh gosh! 8 30 am it’s late! Why should I blame my alarm I set it myself to ring at 8 30 ….yes! It was a heavy night yesterday…drunk like a dog, 3 pitchers of beer... I know I am having a big pot tummy coz of this holy water. But I can’t stop drinking beer. Hmm, time to get ready to go for slogging

I got in to the car, noticed my favorite A.R Rahman Collection CD is missing.I had to be happy with some un-cool songs. Bangalore traffic always drive me crazy, wretched! I hardly use the fourth gear here in Bangalore…it took 33 mins to cover 9 kms…

Outlook Express, my messenger showed his face called “INBOX”. So many mails; 18 to be precise. Replied all...Went through Day Planner, Hmm, it’s not a busy day, No Brief, No strategy, No Gyan. Is this what we call a “Fine day”? I don’t know. I love my work, sitting idle doesn’t make me happy. So what’s next?

Normally I go to the terrace to sip a cup of coffee when I feel low; Sujit and Elvis usually accompany me to the canteen. I was feeling very hungry, ordered for sandwich. Sandwich reminded me of Chanakya, Product manager of Britannia. He was supposed to get back to me with high resolution images of Breads. Chanakya is like that, he never reverts on time, needs to be chased. Tried calling him, same old Britannia hello tune “swasth khao tan man jagao”, as usual he did not pick up my call..*Sigh*

Orkut, new phenomenon among alpha customers, oops sorry management term…let me rephrase it, new phenomenon among “youth”. I also have a profile like any other net-savvy. A normal profile with 275(contd...) friends, 51(contd.) fans and 4569 (contd.) scraps, and oh yeah…12 ugly pictures of mine too. Do you live here? Well …that’s the question I always get from my other online friends…yes I live on internet. Nothing else to do; no where else to go. Started flipping through the communities I have created. Nothing is happening in those communities; boring communities…I should be more innovative and creative to make a buzz in my communities… I know “Yes I look like John Abraham” community is just a creepy community. Nobody in that community looks like John Abraham including me!

I made a major mistake today…I don’t wanna disclose it here. I was being stupid, stupid enough to get my personality restructured... In fact, that incident forced me to start writing….somebody asked me to write a blog which can not be “Googled” This is not a Blog or a Diary. This is a written version of process of my mind! I use Microsoft word to vent all my frustration. Thanks to Bill gates Oops!! That’s a Chetan Bhagat quote, I had enough, using someone else’s statement. I have been accused of plagiarism. I don’t want to be called “Henry”, our copywriter ...he copies, he writes. And everybody calls him “Copywriter”. What an Irony! I don’t know what I am trying to prove here. But I am really frustrated today. The aura is missing. I am not a Brand Ajith anymore!
